This episode is one of many to come that put the members of 模范七棒 through some journey to find a particular aspect of life. In this episode, 阿本, was sent to be a teacher at a more rural and native location of Taiwan to find 'pureness'.
The children were all very cute and it really impacted me as they could get along with a simple life and still be so happy.
This episode made me pretty emotional. Many of us have lots of things that we probably take for granted and we still are not contented with what we have. I remember my good friend who shared with me his experience that when he went to Thailand to do overseas community involvement project(OCIP), everybody cried when they had to part with the tribal children to return to Singapore. The tribal children managed to show my friend that the very simple and basic needs in life is all that is needed to be happy. I have not gone for such an OCIP before so I don't really have the experience but just from this episode and my friend's reflections of his trip made me feel really emotional already.
